Who wants to wait until Saturday to see who wins the weekend's biggest game? The Señior doesn't. For that reason, all season long we'll turn to the next best thing to actually playing the games: NCAA Football '09.The Game: No. 1 Oklahoma vs. No. 5 Texas
Prediction: Longhorns 51, Sooners 10
Can Bob Stoops' crew really get blown out of the water like this? Texas absolutely manhandled the Sooners in this one, leading 37-10 at halftime and outgaining the Oklahoma offense 476-295.
Colt McCoy had a monster game, passing for 390 yards and three touchdowns, including 208 yards and two scores to Quan Cosby and hit Jordan Shipley for 72 yards and another TD. Texas' running game still wasn't spectacular with Vondrell McGee leading with just 58 yards, but he did get into the end zone twice and the lackluster pass defense did its job against Sam Bradford and Co., limiting the Sooners to one score.
The Sooners' only touchdown came on a 37-yard pass from Bradford to DeMarco Murray in the first quarter that made it a 10-7 Longhorns' lead. Other than that, it was McCoy's show.
Oklahoma was doomed by an inability to hold onto the ball. The Sooners entered the Red River Rivalry having committed just four turnovers and had 11 in the Cotton Bowl. Yep, 11. Bradford threw four interceptions, while the Sooners lost seven of nine fumbles.
Could we see OU's national title hopes go up in smoke Saturday? EA Sports thinks so -- but The Señior isn't living in a virtual world.
Simulation Record: 3-2
